Kmetija ima zelo dolgo zgodovino, saj so naši predniki že davno tega izkoriščali naravne danosti za kmetovanje, s čimer so se tudi preživljali. Gričevnata pobočja so bila vedno zasajena s sadnim drevjem in vinsko trto, pri hiši pa je vseskozi bilo vsaj nekaj glav živine. Kmetija se je z leti širila, spreminjala obseg posameznih dejavnosti in nekatere tudi opustila. Tako smo najprej opustili živinorejo, nato pa tudi sadjarstvo in se popolnoma usmerili v vinogradništvo in vinarstvo.

Kmetija je šla skozi boljše in slabše čase, saj so se iz leta v leto spopadali tudi z različnimi predvsem naravnimi izzivi, vseeno pa ji je uspelo preživeti skozi čas ter kljub temu ohraniti nekatere izvorne načine pridelave in sožitje z naravo. Ugodna lega, podnebje in način pridelave so nam omogočili razvoj in širitev vinogradništva na vseh bližnjih pobočjih ter kakovostno pridelavo vina..

 

About Us The farm has a very long history. Our ancestors were using natural sources for farming since we know it. Hilly slopes were always planted with fruit trees and vines and there was always at least a few domestic animals. The farm has expanded over the years, changing the extent of different activities and abandoned some. This way we first abandoned livestock, than fruit growing and finally directed toward viniculture. The farm went through better as well as though times mainly because of different natural challenges over the years but it managed to survive through time and nevertheless retain some of the original farming methods and stay in harmony with nature. Favourable geographical location, climate and the way of farming have made it possible to develop and expand the viniculture on all of the slopes nearby and the production of quality wine.
